By Prof. Dr. phil. nat. Hans-Jürgen Kuzel [*06.02.1932 +03.05.1997] at the university of Erlangen
I studied mineralogy from 1986 to 1994. A visit by Prof. H.F.W. Taylor took place about 1993.
My diploma thesis and a collective publication by Prof. Kuzel are:
Influence of Lithiumcarbonate and Calciumcarbonate to Hydration of High Alumina Cement [HAC].
Hydration of HAC in the Presence of Calcium Carbonate [Eur.J.Mineral.1996,8,129-141].
From 1994 to 2007 I worked as mineralogist and project manager in the R&D department of an
established dry mix mortar industry. My business was the development of new products, rating of
raw material, examination of product damages and to develope processes for material testing.
Due to I worked out knowledge about binder systems and additives like superplasticizers,
retarders, accelerators, air-entraining agents, dispersion powders, defoamers, thickeners and more.
The product applications concerned drinking water, alkali- or acid attack, drain material problems
spray application and further. At that time successful workings and new aspects for R&D occured
in collaboration on-site or together with comitted colleagues abroad; partial by use of a
X-Ray powder Diffraction [ XRD ] and a Kuzel-calorimeter.
Since 2007 I work as an independent construction chemist and product developer.
My experience, my knowledge and my ambitious work helps my clients to realize high aims.
